    • It is the goal of the Mount Kenya Animal Orphanage to save, nurture, breed and prepare for release back to the wild those animals in our care. Some animals must be released in groups and we aim to build family units that can survive together in the wild.
    • Some can be rehabilitated quickly while others require more time and care. Occasionally an animal does not do well in the wild and in this case we offer a safe haven here at the Conservancy.
    • In some cases we retain animals in our breeding programs for the purpose of restocking the original habitats. Healthy beeding animals are, to the greatest extent possible, kept free ranging.

All of this is a lengthy progress and requires much planning, work and funding. We are grateful for any donations and financial support. It is our promise to see to it that all donations no matter how large or small will benefit the animals directly.
